I like to keep them smelling fresh both for my baby and me. I then throw them into the dryer and dry to not quite dry and let it air dry the rest of the way. This way my baby is always as comfortable as I can make them. And, a happy baby still will probably keep you up during the night, but a clean dry mattress will go a long way into helping you and your baby get a good's night rest.
